A Camping We Will Go!!

This past weekend I bit the bullet and we went on our first camping trip. I wasn't looking forward to it at all with Hudson. It was the annual Snyder's golf tournament and this year we went to Lake Isle because it was also Jay's Aunt Annelies and Uncle Helmut's 35th wedding anniversary.

It turned out to be a beautiful weekend, thank god! I don't know if I could have done it had it rained. Hudson wasn't really interested in going to bed at his normal "bedtime" as it was still very sunny and lots going on and he doesn't want to miss out.

On Saturday while everyone else went golfing, Denise, Avery, Leanne, Ava, Hudson, and I went to Seba Beach to go to the Farmer's Market and have some ice cream. When everyone returned we had a delicious dinner and then it was off to the party. We had so much fun! Their son had flown in a dutch band (as they are dutch) and they were so good. There was lots of food, good music, and excellent company. Hudson again wasn't ready for bed so Kyra pushed him and pushed him in his stroller until he fell asleep and that was a huge feat but she did it. What a trooper.

The next morning we had the annual Father's Day breakfast where all the Father's made Dutch pancakes. So yummy! And Hudson got to try them for the first time.

Now  Jason is busy planning our next camping trip with Leanne and Callum and their kids and I'm busy trying to find a little bit bigger trailer with a bathroom. We're looking forward to going again. So it wasn't that bad after all.

We got to enjoy another one of our few beautiful days over at our friends for Kami's 2nd birthday. The kids splashed around in the chilly pool for a while and enjoyed the sun. And the grown ups enjoyed a drink on the patio.

We went out to enjoy the sunshine and watch some friends play ball at the Millet Ball Tournaments while Daddy was at work.

Into Everything!!

Hudson has definately been keeping be busy lately. He is very interested in EVERYTHING and wants to see it, touch it, climb on it, and of course put it in his mouth. So here are couple pictures to make you smile.

Here's Hudson with one of his cups in his mouth. He started with #1 and this is #3 and it almost fits.

Hudson loves playing in the tupperware cupboard and getting it all over the house.

Hudson loves the dishwasher and as soon as he hears it open he motors over to get his hands in it. I was working in the kitchen and had just unloaded the dishwasher and Hudson was happy so I left him play and he climbed right in.

Gotta love kids playing in the garbage. Yuck!

Uh oh He's figured out how to open the cupboard doors all by himself.

A Couple Videos

I've just added a couple of cute videos. The first is of Hudson playing with Shandy. This is the only time they seem to get along right now, if the duck or the ball is in between them. Shandy isn't too fond of Hudson otherwise especially when he's crawling on her, towards her food, or pulling her tail. Yikes were lucky she's such a great dog!

The second video is of Hudson trying out his "walker". He gets better everyday it won't be long now and he won't need it at all. Then Shandy will really have to watch out.

Road Trip

A couple weeks ago, Hudson and I headed south to see some old friends, Jen and Kailyn and of course Chris too. We met up at the zoo and took advantage of some of the first nice weather of the year and saw some animals. Hudson didn't seem too interested in the animals until we got to the spider monkey and then he watched that little guy very closely as it moved around it' cage. After taking in the very cool dinosaur exhibit we headed back to Jen's house where we had a delicious supper and then the kids wound down with a bath and then it was off to bed - for a while anyways. Hudson decided that he didn't really feel like sleeping too much, he was up a raring to go at 4! Yes 4! Which made for a very long day for me. But as I was not quite ready to head home yet we took in the new Balzac mall and now Hudson is set for the whole summer.

We had a great visit and are looking forward to them coming north again for another visit.
